The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Pastor Dr Paul Enenche, alongside his wife, Dr Mrs Becky Enenche, has demonstrated a commitment to public safety and community development with the construction of a pedestrian bridge along the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Road in Abuja, an intervention aimed at protecting lives and reducing the risks faced by pedestrians crossing the busy highway.
The bridge, located around the Lugbe axis of the Airport Road corridor near the church’s headquarters, the Glory Dome, was commissioned on Friday, October 30, 2026, by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Pastor Enenche said the motivation behind the project was rooted in love for God and humanity, emphasising that genuine love should be demonstrated through selfless service and giving to society.
“God is love. To be a messenger of God means to be a messenger of love. Love is about what we give, not what we get,” he said.
The cleric further stressed that making a positive difference in society was more important than personal gains, noting that the true measure of impact lies in what individuals contribute to the lives of others.
“We may make a living by what we get, but we make a difference by what we give. Our impact is more important than our income,” Enenche stated.
Explaining the construction process, the Dunamis founder disclosed that he initially challenged the contractor to complete the project within three months before both parties eventually agreed on a four-month timeline.
He said the contractor delivered the project in four months and one week, commending the workers for their dedication and commitment throughout the construction period.
“They worked night and day. This is the fastest they have ever constructed anywhere,” he said.
Enenche also highlighted other humanitarian and community development interventions undertaken by the church, including road construction projects at Mararaba Boundary Road, Karu and Kubwa.
He disclosed that Dunamis had equally provided boreholes in Borno State, including one located beside a mosque in Maisandari Ward, as part of its commitment to serving communities irrespective of religious differences.
The cleric further listed the church’s support for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and victims of flooding in Maiduguri among its humanitarian interventions.
In her remarks, Dr Mrs Becky Enenche described the pedestrian bridge as a major relief for residents and other pedestrians who regularly face difficulties crossing the busy Airport Road.
She explained that before the construction of the permanent bridge, the church had provided coaster buses to assist people in crossing the road safely. However, the arrangement proved inadequate due to the number of people requiring assistance and the logistical challenges involved.
According to her, the need for a more permanent and sustainable solution informed the decision to construct the pedestrian bridge.
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, commended Dunamis International Gospel Centre for undertaking the project, describing it as a contribution that complements government efforts to improve infrastructure and public safety.
Wike disclosed that the church had initially sought approval for the project in 2018, but the request was brought to his attention again in February 2026, after which approval was granted.
The commissioning marks an important development in efforts to improve pedestrian safety along the Airport Road corridor, where heavy traffic has made crossing particularly hazardous.
The project also highlights the role of faith-based organisations and private institutions in addressing infrastructure challenges and supporting government efforts through practical interventions that directly benefit communities.
For Pastor Paul Enenche and Dr Becky Enenche, the pedestrian bridge represents an expression of their stated philosophy that love should go beyond words and be demonstrated through tangible contributions to humanity.
