The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, H. E. Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, MON, has harped on more intelligence sharing between Nigeria and the United States of America in order to fight banditry and terrorism in Nigeria.
According to the press release signed by Henshaw Ogubike Mnipr FCAi Fsca Fcpe Director ( Information and Public Relations) on 1st May, 2024, the Minister opined this when he hosted the Assistant Secretary for Defence for African Affairs at the US Department of Defence, Jennifer Zakriski and her team at Ship House.
The Minister listed out areas of possible collaborations to include intelligence sharing aimed at bolstering the fight against insecurity in Nigeria.
Matawalle noted that the information and intelligence the US uses in sending early warning to her citizens in crises countries, can be shared with Nigeria, warning us of impending attack by terrorists.
The meeting which witnessed robust and in-depth discussions on intelligence sharing, will foster renewed commitment in strengthening the longstanding partnership between Nigeria and the United States in defence and security cooperation.
He said: “It is indeed a privilege to welcome you and your team to Nigeria. Our discussion today underscores the importance of collaboration and intelligence sharing in tackling common security challenges. Nigeria values its partnership with the United States, and we are committed to enhancing our cooperation in defence matters for the mutual benefit of our nations.”
In her remarks, Jennifer Zakriski expressed appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting Nigeria in addressing security concerns.
She stated, “Nigeria is a key partner for the United States in Africa, and our collaboration is vital in addressing shared security threats. Today’s meeting marks another milestone in our efforts to strengthen defense ties and enhance regional security.”

According to a press release signed by Henshaw Ogubike Mnipr FCAi Fsca Fcpe Director ( Information and Public Relations ) on Friday, 26th April, 2024, the Minister reiterated Nigeria’s unwavering commitment to regional security cooperation, stating that: “Nigeria will contribute to the proposed African Standby Force and that we are open to all possible collaborations with the African Union to ensure the security of Africa.”
Speaking on the just concluded Counter-terrorism Summit, Badaru said that Nigeria will abide with the resolution reached that would enhance the regional fight against terrorism and other criminalities.
He said: “Though it is still on paper, but I believe all council members are enthusiastic about the deliberation and on our part, we will work hard to contribute our best to see that our partnership on conflict resolution works.”
On her part, Her Excellency Jainaba Jagne commended the Nigerian Government for the hospitality and commitment to advancing the goals of the African Union. She said: “Today’s meeting underscores the importance of multilateral cooperation in addressing the common threats facing our continent. Nigeria’s leadership in this regard is commendable, and we look forward to continued collaboration towards a safer and more secure Africa.”
The meeting witnessed robust discussions on conflict resolution aimed at fostering closer collaboration among African nations in the fight against terrorism. The discussions are expected to inform future initiatives aimed at strengthening regional security mechanisms and enhancing the effectiveness of counter-terrorism efforts across Africa.

According to the press release signed by Henshaw Ogubike Mnipr FCAi Fsca Fcpe Director ( Information and Public Relations) on Wednesday, 24th April, 2024, the Minister made the call while speaking to Newsmen shortly after the close of the two- day High level Africa counter terrorism summit held in Abuja.
The Minister said: “We have resolved amongst the participating countries that each sub regional body should organise itself and come together as a United Africa to develop means and strategies in partnership with the International Community to tackle terrorism and other related crimes in the continent.”
He said that the time to act to secure Africa from insecurity is now and God’s Willing that will be achieved in no distance time.
Furthermore, the Minister called for a collaborative approach in intelligence sharing and information gathering on the sources of funding and arms acquisition by the terrorists. “This will help in checkmating the scourge of terrorism and also in cross-checking the movement of terrorists across borders.”

Matawalle stated this when he received the Minister of Defence of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Hanena Ould Sidi, on an official visit to Nigeria at his office in Ship House, Abuja.
The meeting was to further rejig the joint cooperation between the two countries in the military and security fields, particularly in light of Nigeria’s pivotal role in counter-terrorism efforts across the African region.
He thanked the Minister for the visit and said that Nigeria was committed to strengthening the historical and brotherly relations between the two nations, with focus on advancing cooperation in defence and other sectors.

In a bid to foster creativity, innovation, and skill development amongst corps members, the Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande has announced a diverse range of financial support for corps entrepreneurs codenamed “Corprenuers”
Olawande made this announcement during his maiden visit to NYSC Orientation Camp on Tuesday in Iseyin, Oyo State.
In a statement by the Director Press and Public Relation, Omolara Esan the Minister said corps members have shown unimaginable level of industry, with many of them already running creative businesses even before they enrol in the NYSC program.
“We have to be innovative in tackling unemployment. We are aware that some of you have already engaged your talents to establish businesses and create jobs for yourselves. We are therefore prepared to support you to advance those businesses and take them to the next level before you pass out of the NYSC,” Olawande said.
While stating that ten corpreneurs would be supported with varied amounts, the minister said the initiative would be ongoing and will spread to other camps in a continuous effort to encourage corps members taking part in the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) and others with existing businesses.
Un nouveau pays voit le jour avec un regard tourné vers l’avenir, l’État de Birland. Il s’agit du dernier pays en gestation sur le continent africain, avec une superficie de 2060 km², situé entre le Soudan et l’Égypte. Cette terre est connue sous le nom de Bir Tawil, ce qui signifie “long puits d’eau”. Bir Tawil a ses propres frontières politiques, et il est internationalement reconnu qu’aucun pays n’a jamais revendiqué cette terre; ni le Soudan ni l’Égypte n’ont autorité sur cette terre. Elle est maintenant internationalement connue sous le nom d’État de Birland. Le cerveau de la réalisation de ce pays réel, le Roi Emir Haiyawi, a commencé à annoncer publiquement son idée et à consacrer sa vie à réaliser ce premier pays humanitaire du monde et à donner dignité aux personnes apatrides et à certains réfugiés de la région. Cela a été la force qui nous a poussés à rester fidèles et fermes dans la réalisation de ce rêve.
Certains amis et membres de la famille ont commencé à croire en lui et l’ont soutenu pour réaliser cette idée. Jour et nuit, il a recherché et étudié cette terre et le droit international sur la création d’un nouveau pays. Certains précurseurs ont soutenu cette idée et se sont joints à lui dans sa quête de faire sérieusement de cette terre le dernier pays d’Afrique et du monde. En utilisant la disponibilité des médias sociaux, il a créé de nombreux comptes de médias sociaux pour Birland sur Facebook, Twitter maintenant X, Instagram et LinkedIn. Cela a attiré l’attention de personnes de différents pays, et l’idée de créer un nouveau pays et un pays humanitaire et de donner dignité aux personnes apatrides est devenue intéressante pour beaucoup.
Il a également visité une assemblée générale de l’Union européenne à Bruxelles et a posé des questions sur la façon de créer un pays, à quoi on lui a répondu qu’il lui suffisait d’avoir un territoire, des habitants, des lois ou une constitution, et des structures. Guidé par la sagesse et la connaissance et voyant qu’il y a des nomades à l’intérieur du pays sans nationalité, sans certificat de naissance et sans éducation, son cœur s’est tourné vers eux, et il était déterminé à faire de cela un vrai pays, alors il a commencé à planifier comment l’établir. Après quelques années, le maintenant Premier Ministre de Birland, un Philippin et un humanitaire de cœur, et moi, Eden Soriano Trinidad des Philippines, nous nous sommes croisés. J’avais alors le titre royal de la Princesse du Royaume Royal de KutaiMulawarman. Je suis un poète publié et un auteur et j’ai un cœur pour les nécessiteux et les démunis. En tant que directeur d’une école de quartier, j’ai parrainé le Centre d’apprentissage Memorial Lucio Abrigo, en tant que vice-président bénévole du conseil d’administration pendant de nombreuses années et en recevant un salaire modeste en tant qu’enseignant pionnier. C’est moi qui transmettais toutes les informations sur Birland au Maharaja du Royaume Royal de KutaiMulawarman, qui s’est vu offrir le poste de Représentant International de l’État de Birland en traduisant (à l’aide de Google Traduction) toutes les informations que j’ai reçues du fondateur de Birland, car le Maharaja ne parle qu’indonésien. Il voulait entendre mon avis, celui de sa fidèle Princesse Eden de KutaiMulawarman, et ne pas se fier uniquement à ce qu’il entendait. Puis, quelques mois plus tard, le Maharaja m’a confié Birland. Il a dit: “Sois avec Birland et aide-les. Je suis avec toi.”
Connaissant Birland par cœur, je n’ai pas hésité à soutenir le Fondateur qui préférait être appelé Gouverneur de Birland à l’époque. Jour et nuit, je lui parlais et lui posais de nombreuses questions sur Birland. J’étais tellement absorbé que j’ai compris ses plans et ses objectifs pour cette terre. Je croyais en son plan de faire de cette terre un pays humanitaire où la diplomatie est notre moyen d’introduction de ce pays. Le Roi Emir m’a dit: “La diplomatie crée l’amitié” et “la politique crée les ennemis”. Je n’ai jamais douté de la sincérité du fondateur; au contraire, j’ai embrassé chaque plan, chaque concept qu’il m’a transmis. Nous travaillons ensemble pour réaliser notre vision pour ce pays. Nous parlons de tout et apprenons l’un de l’autre comment réaliser la création de ce pays. Des jours, des mois et des années ont passé et pas un seul jour nous ne nous sommes lassés de travailler pour Birland. Nous persévérons. Il n’est pas facile de construire un nouveau pays à partir de rien. En 2021, nous avons décidé qu’il était temps de rencontrer notre petit gouvernement. Notre nouveau ministre du Tourisme, Mingma Dorjee Sherpa du Népal, a accueilli le 7e anniversaire de la fondation de Birland. C’était magique. Rencontrer en personne pour la première fois le fondateur de Birland et certains de nos officiels nommés nous a rendus plus déterminés à poursuivre notre rêve pour cette terre.
En octobre 2022, le président et fondateur du Royaume Global Uni, Sa Majesté Bungane III, le roi du royaume d’Embo en Afrique, a convoqué une réunion générale du RGU et a proposé aux rois membres, dirigeants et chefs de royaumes indigènes et traditionnels de procéder au couronnement pour reconnaître et déclarer le roi et le Premier Ministre de Birland comme les Monarques de la Monarchie de l’État de Birland, car le système de gouvernement de Birland est une monarchie constitutionnelle. Le 7 octobre 2022, le couronnement virtuel et la déclaration ont été officiés par Sa Majesté le Roi Denis Okafor, le roi d’Ohanaeze dans la diaspora africaine, et le vice-président du Royaume Global Uni, ainsi que quelques rois et membres du Royaume Global Uni et des fonctionnaires de l’État de Birland.
Puis, le 15 mai 2023, le 8e anniversaire de la fondation a été organisé à Jakarta, en Indonésie, par le Maharaja du Royaume de KutaiMulawarman. Il y avait deux rois d’Afrique du Sud, Sa Majesté le roi Joseph Mokgolobotho, le roi du royaume de Mokgolobotho, et sa reine consort, et le roi Ziyane Manana du royaume de Manana, qui ont assisté, ainsi que quatre ministres, qui sont venus au 8e anniversaire de la fondation pour notre plus grand plaisir et notre joie. Nous avons été couronnés physiquement Roi et Reine du Royaume de Birland par le Maharaja du Royaume de KutaiMulawarman, MSPA lansyahRechzaFaclevieWamgsawarman, le Président du Conseil Mondial des Monarques du Royaume Global Uni.
Depuis que je suis devenue premièrement la représentante générale internationale de l’État de Birland en 2020, presque 24 heures sur 24, j’ai établi des connexions et mené des réunions virtuelles avec mes amis, et j’ai établi des liens dans différents pays en présentant Birland. Lorsque j’ai été nommée Premier Ministre de l’État de Birland et ai commencé à créer un petit gouvernement, nous avons communiqué avec plusieurs gouvernements et avons ouvert plusieurs représentations officielles et bureaux dans certains pays. Les documents de Birland ont également été acceptés et authentifiés par de nombreux pays à travers le monde et ont été estampillés avec les sceaux des ministères des affaires étrangères.
Il est à noter que nous, les dirigeants du Royaume de Birland, avons également envisagé Birland comme le “Dubai de l’Afrique”, ayant le même climat et la même atmosphère, mais Birland est plus grand que Dubai et 27 pays du monde. En tant que Premier Ministre nouvellement nommé et Reine Couronnée de Birland des Philippines, moi, Sa Majesté la Reine Eden Soriano Trinidad, en embrassant l’idée de faire de cette terre un pays humanitaire, ai dit: “C’est un Projet Divin, car Dieu a préservé cette terre tout ce temps pour que nous puissions transformer cette terre en un pays unique pour l’humanité.”
J’ai ensuite commencé à présenter cette Birland à de nombreux dirigeants, chefs et rois de royaumes indigènes, traditionnels et tribaux, et à des conseils et des communautés en Afrique, en Asie du Sud-Est et en Amérique du Sud. Le soutien de Birland vient des rois sous le Royaume Global Uni qui ont cru en moi en tant que leur Secrétaire Général et en tant que Dirigeante de Birland.
Les Poètes de Birland ont été conceptualisés au dernier trimestre de 2020. Étant moi-même un poète publié, j’ai vu l’importance de la Poésie dans la promotion de la Paix à travers Birland. La Poésie est devenue la première culture de Birland. Il y a environ 70 poètes officiels de Birland qui ont inondé Birland de leurs poèmes et chansons et ont dédié leur poésie à Birland. L’Hymne National de Birland a été composé par M. Samuel C. Trinidad.
Nous, le Roi et la Reine de Birland, sommes déterminés à faire de ce pays un pays très paisible, un pays très amical pour tous, où la gentillesse est un mode de vie. L’anglais est la langue principale, et la deuxième langue sera le nubien, car cette terre se trouve dans le désert nubien. Le Dirigeant et le Premier Ministre de Birland ont l’intention de faire de ce pays un pays unique, où ses futurs citoyens auront le droit à l’éducation et où les citoyens seront une nation de penseurs, d’explorateurs, d’innovateurs, de chercheurs, de technocrates et d’éducateurs pour la paix et l’humanitaire. Birland ne sera pas une nation de travailleurs. Nous voulons créer un environnement d’enseignement et d’apprentissage unique, non contrôlé par l’ancien système éducatif.
Nous, les dirigeants de Birland, prévoyons également de fournir des moyens de subsistance aux futurs citoyens de Birland afin qu’ils ne connaissent pas la faim et la pauvreté.
