Community Support Grows as Defence Minister Badaru Engages Jigawa Stakeholders During Eid

Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, H.E. Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, over the weekend played host to two influential delegations from Jigawa State as part of activities marking the 2025 Eid el-Kabeer celebrations.

The first visit came from the Forum of Immediate Past Local Government Speakers in Jigawa, led by Alhaji Ali Zarada Gagarawa. Comprising lawmakers who served during Badaru’s second term as Governor, the forum commended the Minister’s dedication to national service and offered prayers for continued success in his role.

They were received alongside other dignitaries, including Jigawa APC Chairman Alhaji Aminu Sani Gumel, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Jallo of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, and former Gumel LGA Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Rufai — all of whom pledged their continued support for the Minister’s efforts to strengthen security and national unity.

In a separate event on Friday, June 20, the Dutse Emirate Traders Association visited the Minister at his residence in Kano. Led by Alhaji Yahaya Rungumau, the delegation lauded Badaru’s impact on national security, noting that his policies have created a more stable environment for business growth and economic activity.

In his response, Minister Badaru thanked the visiting groups for their steadfast loyalty and encouragement, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to both national safety and economic advancement.

The engagements were marked by mutual respect and a shared vision for a peaceful, prosperous Nigeria a reflection of the strong ties the Minister continues to maintain with his home state and key grassroots actors.
