The ECOWAS Commission, in collaboration with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), held an Inter-Agency Technical Meeting on the ECOWAS-AECID Cooperation Programme 2025-2028 today, June 18, 2025.
The meeting, which took place at the Niger House, brought together key stakeholders to review the action plan and introduce better synergy among implementing agencies. The meeting was coordinated by the Directorate of External Relations.
During the meeting, participants discussed programme implementation, governance, monitoring, and visibility. Presentations were made on annual work plans, by ECOWAS agencies, including programme under Directorate of Free Movement of Persons and Migration , the Regional Agency for Agriculture and Food ARAA, ECOWAS Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency ECREEE and the ECOWAS Centre for Gender Development (CDCG), in the framework of the AECID Cooperation.
