The President Global Alliance for Peace and Unity, Honourable Solomon Pevkyaa in a statement signed and made available to journalists today said at 71, Senator Akume stands as a symbol of resilience, wisdom, and dedication. His contributions to the Nigerian political landscape cannot be overstated, as he continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the direction of the country, especially in his efforts to ensure the success of the APC in Benue State and the North-Central region.
He said it was unfortunate, however, that some individuals, like Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga of the North-Central APC Forum, seem to misconstrue the SGF’s efforts to foster unity. Rather than acknowledging Akume’s long-standing commitment to the party and his role in enhancing the APC’s prospects, these critics opt for baseless attacks and unfounded allegations.
Zazzaga, who seems to have little understanding of the intricacies of governance and political leadership, fails to grasp the significance of Akume’s decades of service.
Senator Akume’s approach has always been one of inclusion and respect for the people of Benue and the entire North-Central zone. His efforts have consistently been geared toward unifying the party and ensuring that all regions are represented fairly in appointments and policy decisions.
