The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has rolled out an ambitious initiative to transform local businesses in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), equipping them with the tools to compete on a global scale.

By fostering innovation, embracing technology, and offering tailored support, the FCTA aims to drive profitability, sustainable growth, and improved living standards for FCT residents while contributing significantly to Nigeria’s economy.

This declaration was made by the Acting Head of Service of the FCT, Mrs. Grace Adayilo, during the 11th edition of Business 360°, hosted by the Abuja Enterprise Agency (AEA) at its Jahi District headquarters. Themed “Creative Branding, Innovative Packaging as Enterprise Promotion Tools for Market Acceptability,” the event provided a platform for entrepreneurs to learn strategies for scaling their businesses.

Mrs. Adayilo, speaking passionately at the event, revealed the FCTA’s alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, stating that entrepreneurs remain a priority for the administration.

She outlined key measures being taken, including specialized entrepreneurship training, easier access to funding, and business development incentives.

“When one stops embracing new ideas, they become irrelevant in today’s fast-paced world,” Mrs. Adayilo said, encouraging entrepreneurs to embrace continuous innovation to compete internationally.

AEA’s Acting Managing Director/CEO, Mr. Chudi Ugwuada-Ezirigwe, emphasized that Business 360° was established to address the most pressing issues confronting MSMEs, such as restricted market access, complex regulatory requirements, and inadequate financing options.

“This platform unites business regulators, private sector experts, and entrepreneurs to exchange knowledge and implement modern best practices. We are committed to empowering MSMEs to overcome obstacles and thrive,” Mr. Ugwuada-Ezirigwe stated, urging entrepreneurs to approach challenges with resilience and courage.

Adding a national perspective, Mr. Temitola Adekunle Johnson (MFR), Senior Special Assistant to the President on Job Creation and MSMEs, represented by Mr. Shinna Agoi, stressed the power of branding and innovative packaging in boosting business visibility and consumer trust.

A creative and innovative mindset is a must for entrepreneurs aiming to conquer the global market,” Mr. Agoi said, urging attendees to prioritize distinctiveness in their businesses

The event’s interactive panel discussion brought together industry leaders who offered practical insights into leveraging branding and packaging for market success. Entrepreneurs also showcased a variety of innovative products at the exhibition pavilion, which Mrs. Adayilo toured, expressing admiration for the creativity on display.

With initiatives like Business 360°, the FCTA is setting the stage for MSMEs to thrive, creating an ecosystem where local entrepreneurs are empowered to think big, compete globally, and contribute to Nigeria’s economic advancement.
