Newly Elected YAN Speaker Hails Minister Matawalle’s Inspiring Leadership and Dedication to National Service

In a resounding tribute to exceptional leadership, newly elected National Speaker of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), Comrade Famuyibo Oluwasegun, has commended Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Muhammed Bello Matawalle, for his steadfast loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s security.

The accolade came during Oluwasegun’s acceptance speech at the YAN national election ceremony held at Agura Hotels, Abuja.

Reflecting on Matawalle’s profound influence on his own journey, Oluwasegun expressed heartfelt gratitude, stating that after divine guidance, it was Matawalle’s mentorship that helped him ascend to this pivotal role.

“Dr. Bello Matawalle’s support and belief in my potential were instrumental in my success,” he shared, underscoring Matawalle’s unwavering fight against terrorism and banditry as an inspiration for young Nigerians striving for change.

The statement, signed by Henshaw Ogubike, Director of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Defence also highlighted Oluwasegun’s appreciation for the YAN Board of Trustees, the Convention Planning Committee, and the assembly delegates for their trust.

The Speaker pledged to work tirelessly for the advancement of Nigerian youth and the broader national agenda.

Hon. G.T.C. Samuel, Acting Chairman of YAN’s Board of Trustees, encouraged the new leaders to serve as role models of integrity and unity.

The 4th Assembly, under Oluwasegun’s leadership, is set to usher in a wave of youth-driven initiatives.

Key national positions have been filled with a team dedicated to championing innovation, integrity, and progress for Nigeria’s young population. Joining Oluwasegun are Deputy National Speaker Umar Bala Babayaro from Kaduna State, Majority Leader Sadiq Abubakar of Borno State, and National Chief Whip Raymond Sylvanus from Cross River State, among others.
