OneBarrow International Drives Healthcare Transformation Through Technology

OneBarrow International Ltd has once again demonstrated its commitment to revolutionizing Nigeria’s healthcare landscape by hosting a Health Equity Conference in Abuja. Themed “Transforming Healthcare: Uniting Providers through Technology for Integrated Care Solutions,” the event sought to highlight the role of technology in bridging gaps between healthcare providers to deliver seamless, integrated care.

Speaking at the event, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Muhammad Ali Pate, represented by Dr. Ekam Ethel, Assistant Director of NGO Coordination at the Ministry of Health, addressed the multitude of health challenges still plaguing Nigeria.

Pate expressed concerns about the shortage of trained healthcare personnel, further exacerbated by the migration of professionals abroad.

However, he reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reversing this trend by investing in technology to enhance the healthcare system.

“Technology offers an unprecedented opportunity to connect underserved populations with critical medical services,” Pate said.

He emphasized that telemedicine, alongside data analytics, could help address disparities in healthcare access and inform better policy decisions.

“Innovations in technology can be a powerful tool in our pursuit of health equity,” he added.

Reflecting on the COVID-19 pandemic, the Minister noted how digital healthcare solutions had become indispensable, with telemedicine proving vital for providing medical care during lockdowns.

He stressed that the healthcare system must be resilient and able to respond to future shocks, stating, “No nation can afford not to invest in healthcare, as disease outbreaks know no borders.”

Speaking earlier, Yemi Ajao, CEO of OneBarrow International, presented the company’s forward-thinking approach to healthcare transformation, leveraging on the created platform that brings together various healthcare providers(idoctoraccess).
