Matawalle Briefs President Tinubu on North-West Security Gains, Commends Military for Decisive Action

The Honourable Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Muhammed Matawalle, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, briefed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the latest security developments in the North-West, following his operational tours to Sokoto State.

The briefing outlined the significant achievements of the Nigerian Military in combating banditry and terrorism in the region, showcasing the government’s continued commitment to restoring peace.

During his briefing, Dr. Matawalle praised the military’s efforts, highlighting their professionalism and resilience in tackling insurgency.

“The Nigerian Armed Forces have made remarkable progress in pushing back criminal elements. Their dedication to the security of our country is commendable and unwavering,” Matawalle stated.
