The Oyo State Government, under the leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde, has announced a new partnership with Gloves for Africa to empower young boxers in the state.
The collaboration, facilitated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aims to enhance the skills and opportunities for young athletes in Oyo State.
Hon. Wasilat Adegoke, the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, expressed optimism about the impact of this partnership, stating it will provide young boxers with top-quality training, equipment, and mentorship.
“This collaboration will help our athletes compete on both national and international platforms,” she said.
The Oyo State Government remains dedicated to sports development and youth empowerment initiatives.
This partnership aligns with the state’s goals to instill values like discipline, hard work, and fair play in its young population.
The joint initiatives under this collaboration will include training programs, tournaments, scholarships, and the promotion of boxing among young people in the state.
