As part of efforts towards encouraging hard work, patriotism, community service through consistent contributions to societal growth and National development, Coalition of Nigerian Youths on Security and Safety Affairs, CONYSSA, has bestowed a National Outstanding Leadership award on a Police officer in Nigeria, AIG Williams Adebowale, AIG Zone 7 Abuja, Nigeria on Friday 18th August, 2023.
The award ceremony which took place at his office was graced by Nigerian youth leaders, and senior Police officers in the zone.
While making the award confinement on AIG Williams Adebowale, the CONYSSA Director General Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel stated that AIG Williams Adebowale is a role model, a reputable man of God, a distinguished administrator par excellence, astute developer, efficient, productive, committed, hard-working, conscientious, diligent, industrious and assiduous man, whose character has distinguished him far above other personalities.
According to Mario, the award is meritoriously presented to him because of his outstanding roles in serving the Nigerian society through Policing.
“With gratitude to God Almighty who has made this day possible and remarkable, i welcome everyone to this epoch making event where hard work, dedication and service to humanity will be celebrated.
“Why we are here; we are here today to celebrate an achiever whose antecedents has no blemish, he has written his name with gold on a rock that can’t be erase forever. (AIG WILLIAMS ) been a successful police man, without putting his hands in any dirty thing is a big challenge to the younger ones; that no matter the circumstances surrounding you, you can be what you wish to be in life and give bank to the society. This PICTURE that was used by us has alot of meaning to us. If AIG WILLIAMS can raise from one star to AIG, it means if we are focused as young youth leaders we will make it too.
“It will also glad your heart to know that our own dearest *AIG* is also an humanitarian Figure in the Society.
“His humanitarian services is not achieved because he’s a billionaire but because he is born to give hope of a brighter tomorrow to the younger generation and the less privileged. Show me a young man that has shown commitment to human capacity building, then I will show you AIG WILLIAMS ADEBOWALE.
“Outside him being a Police officer, which he has always used to get alot of Nigerian youths engaged in educating their mind set on what security and patrotism stands for, he has on his own helped alot of youths here in Nigeria one way or the other to become what they are today. AIG WILLIAMS. himself has been a blessing to thousands of People everyday. One greater achievement of him is that, ( he don’t need to know you or you knowing him before he gives you expected audience) am a life witness to this.
“The youth of every nation are tools used for insecurity and security, AIG WILLIAMS ADEBOWALE knowledge of security engagement with the youths has taken thousands of youth directly or indirectly off the street and this has limit the rate of crime, therefore giving the society more peace and on this note do CONYSSA conferred on our mentor (ICON OF SECURITY AMBASSADOR)”, he added.
While speaking regards the organization, he said, CONYSSA is a robust and pragmatic interventionist initiative of young leaders from various organizational backgrounds, majorly para-military and community based youth organizations.
“Our VISION is to build a complementary and effective youth super-structure to collaborate with the security outfits of Nigeria to combat the rising security challenges across the country, while achieving improved security of lives and properties in all communities of the Nation. Achieving the aforementioned, we have a MISSION of sensitizing the Nigeria Youth towards placing greater focus on and owing up Security Matters as a major community responsibility, and bridging the widening relationship gap between the youths and the nation’s security architecture. Our major GOAL is to reduce crime among the Nigeria youths, and restore back the confidence of our elders in youth ability to lead Nigeria to her promise land. Any country her youths Solly depends on government salary will go down in matter of time. A country that builds her youths on skills and creativity will survive any futuristic challenges”.
Earlier, the Deputy Director General, CONYSSA, Abraham Kwaghsan who also spoke at the event lamented bitterly on the consistent neglect of the Nigerian uniform voluntary youths during employment by the paramilitary.
According to him, this neglect has persistently repeated itself pointing out that when it is time to use the voluntary uniform youths by the paramilitary, they call for their services after which they are dumped and never remember again even during recruitments.
While calling on the Nigerian Police Force on ethical conduct, he tasked the new leadership to consider the youth in it’s programs and policies.
Reacting to the award, AIG Williams Adebowale thanked the organisation for the confinement of the national leadership award stating that it is a call to do more.
Similarly, he assured the Nigerian youth that the new leadership in the Nigerian Police Force is ready to synergise effort with youth to better Police the Nigerian Society.
