Opinion: Comrade Aminu Aminu lauds NITDA Boss on leadership prowess

Comr. Aminu Aminu, National President, Youth And Civil Society Coalition For Development has spoken on leadership today Saturday 1 July, 2023 in a statement he signed.

Below is the full text:

Incompetency, corrupt tendencies, selfishness, betrayal, disrespect and lack of compassion have long been identified as inherent traits of bad leaders.

Bearers of these characteristics/traits have been responsible for the failure of the past governments be it at the state or federal level.

Though the present administration of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is proven to promote competency, capacity, skills and patriotism, I find it necessary to remind our beloved president that those that follow him and lobby for the ministerial appointment of them do not even deserve to be made ward councillors.

For those who have served their people in different capacities, efforts should be made by Tinubu’s government to find out how well they served and what value they have added to the living standard of their people.
If they are found worthy and have met the expectations of their respective constituencies then they can be considered for ministerial appointment but if they are found otherwise then they should be chased away from loitering in the Villa.

For the green-Hons/novices who are from all indications being motivated by selfishness and see the appointments they are looking for as a business venture where they will dive in and enrich themselves and their families to the detriment of the masses whose interest they are supposed to represent should not be allowed to even sniff the fragrance of Villa.

The Nigerian masses have faith in Tinubu’s administration and have trusted it so much that the president cannot afford to accommodate those who will use the masses as a ladder to climb up and then defecate directly on the masses instead of providing what will improve their living conditions.

In Jigawa State where I came from there are people who have performed beyond the call of duty using their offices to bring life-changing developments that will continue to add value to the lives of the Nigerian masses for a very long time to come. Such are the kind of people Nigerians want to see in this government.

An individual like Kashifu Inuwa from Jigawa State, the current Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has no equal in terms of service delivery. The impact of his service as DG of NITDA has been felt across the six geopolitical zones of this country.

This is the kind of person we Nigerians want to see in this government and not the kind of people that will be given appointments based on tribal, regional or religious sentiment and who cannot deliver instead they end up sabotaging the development efforts of the government.

As Nigerians await the ministerial appointment by the Tinubu administration we hope that this piece of write-up will serve as a guide to choosing the best ministers for the country and who will support the president to deliver on his campaign promises to the Nigerian populace.

Long live President Bola Tinubu
Long live the Nigerian masses
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Comrade Aminu Aminu,
National President,

Youth and Civil Society Coalition for Development (YCSCD).
