The Obedient movement in Kogi state, during her 55th State Executive Council, adopted the Candidacy of His Excellency, Hon Murtala Yakubu Ajaka, the SDP Governorship Candidate as its consensus candidate.
In a press statement made available to newsmen shortly after the meeting that lasted into late night of Wednesday, June 28th, 2023, the State Coordinator Comrade Sunday Bala OMA thanked all Obidient stakeholders in Kogi state for participating in the rigorous exercise that produced the SDP Candidate.
Recall that the trio of Murtala Ajaka SDP, Leke Abejide ADC, and Sam Omale YPP made the final list of the Consensus arrangement, beating the other 15 Candidates, due to their track records in terms of human capital and community development.
Dr. Oma who projected confidence in Muri Ajaka said the final session was keenly contested and has produced Hon Muri AJAKA as our Consensus Candidate as he calls on all Obedients to rally around his Candidacy and ensure he is declared winner of the election, come 11th November 2023, God sparing our lives.
Dr. OMA further concluded by admonishing all other Candidates to drop their differences and support this gesture for the overall interest of the state, while requesting the Consensus Candidate to carry other Candidates along once he emerges victorious at the polls.
