Ireti Kingibe election cancellation: Female President NFYO Condemns Act Says The Will of The People Must Prevail

The President Nigeria Youth Female Organization(NYFO), Princess Mimi Peters has condemned the cancellation of the whole Area council strongholds of the female candidate instead of the affected polling units

“The electoral act says if there is over voting in any Area, the results from the polling units affected can be cancelled for a re-run”

The people of FCT voted Ireti Kingibe a compassionate woman whom they believed her major focus when elected as Senator representing FCT at the Red Chamber, will represent them well and would tackle the infrastructural imbalance in the FCT and ensure the issue of insecurity is addressed,

“It is quite unfortunate that at this point in the Nigerian political process, the door is being shut on effective representation across diverse stakeholders, as depicted by the participation of women in the extreme commercialization of the political process.”

First time a female is winning as a senator in FCT, why trying to rig it, is it because she is a woman? We won’t take this intimidation, Princess Mimi added

Mimi Peters urged the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to follow the path of honour by ensuring election results are not rigged.

The female youths and majority of our citizens have made so much sacrifice for this day, so let their votes count, let the will of the people prevail she urged

We the women are standing firm with ireti, no doubt she will put FCT on enviable height as it supposed. We are optimistic that what ireti will do in FCT in her first term will be a face-lift to FCT and the country at large because of this qualities we will not joke with our mandate.” Said Mimi

She warned that if the right thing is not done,what happened in Aba in1929 during the Aba women riot will be a child’s play compare to what the organization will do.
