Dr. Raymond Edoh warns politicians against inciting violence, and election malpractice, and cautions Youth on been used

The Nigerian Deputy Commandant, International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement Inc., USA has warned politicians against instigating violence during and after elections stressing that security personnel will never and would not tolerate any form of misconduct, violence, or misbehaviour by anyone irrespective of social class or either financial class, pointing out that everyone will be dealt with and treated equally.

The USA Election Observer, under the balcony of International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement Inc., USA, Raymond Edoh made this known in a statement made available to journalists in Abuja on Thursday ahead of the elections on Saturday, the 25th of February, 2023.

According to Edoh, “The United States of America under the platform of International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement Inc., USA has sent us here to observe the elections and ensure that there is peaceful conduct of elections.

” Any politician who thinks he or she is smart and planning to instigate violence or election malpractice will be dealt with according to the USA standard.

“I am happy because all the security agencies are collaborating with us and the level of synergy is so amazing.

” We are fully on ground from the USA and other 12 different countries of the world.

“The Nigeria DSS in a Security Joint press briefing today in Abuja at the Defence Headquarters has assured Nigerians of its commitment to a peaceful exercise. It pledged its neutrality, professionalism, and good conduct of its personnel to the democratic process. It will continue to discharge its mandate of disseminating timely, actionable, and proactive intelligence necessary for tactical, operational, and strategic decisions even beyond the elections. The Department has also stated that it will partner with other sister security and law enforcement agencies; all levels and arms of Government and indeed all stakeholders particularly the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and relevant Non-Governmental and Civil Society Organisations to ensure a hitch-free electoral exercise.

” All of these said also the Police and the Armed Forces of Nigeria”, he added.

Reacting to the open hands enjoyed by security agencies to carry out their duties lawfully by President Muhammadu Buhari, Dr. Raymond Edoh thanked him for a good electoral structure and asking the people of Nigeria to shun enemies of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Edoh also called on politicians especially those in power to understand that the country has one President and as such none is above the law or should go contrary to the leadership of any incumbent president.
“We are disappointed at a few individuals who think they can do whatsoever they wish against the government of the day.

” President Buhari has said new notes are not in use and that stands. Moreover, it is to the interest of the nation at large. Why contrary declarations? If you wanna be the President, come on, go and contest and after victory you make your declarations as wished and the country will go by it. Not the other way round.

“However, we urge all Nigerians especially the youths to avoid been used to incite or instigate violence. If any is instigated, the instigators may end up not seeing the end. That we assure Nigerians and potential perpetrators if there would be any.

“International Police Chaplain Sustainable Development and Law Enforcement Inc., USA is come to ensure that the right thing is done. We are deployed around the entire 36 states including FCT and no stone would remain unturned. We are gallantly on ground to ensure a smooth election and to promote and enhance continuous democratic reign in the Nigeria Nation.

” I wish to reiterate that if any one tries to frustrate the elections, he or she might end up been humiliated to it’s pick”, he added.
