The state of Birland office in Abuja, Nigeria, was officially inaugurated on the 10th of February 2023
The inauguration ceremony was carried out by the Honourable Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, State of Birland Ambassador Prof. Barika D Saro-Laka
While speaking at the event, Prof. Saro-Laka, said, “Birland is a new country, headed by a charismatic leader, His Royal Highness, Dr. King Emir A. Haiyawi, Founder and the President of Birland, which its original name was called Bir Tawil, meaning ‘No Man’s Land.’
“It has now gained implicit recognition through the laying of hands of some natives inside the land and the raising of the Birland flag with a message saying, “Don’t be without us, Birland.”
“Just like Dubai is rich in oil, Birland – Africa’s newest future ‘Dubai,’ will be rich in culture, sports, and tourism. This can be easily attested to, following the natural vegetation and the intellectual capacities of the founders of the country, who are mostly academicians of high repute”, he said.
Speaking further, Saro-Laka expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Government and good people of Nigeria for showing love and providing support to the State of Birland.
He added that the significance of the office is to enhance convergence and communication with other embassies that have offices in Nigeria and to maintain the robust relationship between the State of Birland and the Government of Nigeria.

“Birland is blessed with mineral resources and it’s an easy window access for business, career development, and much more especially to the people of Europe and Asia because of the strategic location
“The new country, Birland has a landmass of 2,060 square kilometers and is located between Sudan and Egypt in the land of Bir Tawil”
“The state of Birland will continue to share experiences and transfer knowledge in a bid to have a healthy population that would not only promote economic development but also reduces poverty.
Speaking also, the Birland Ambassador to Canada Amb. Dr. Mrs. Zuwaira D.O Yusuf said that the State of Birland is willing to partner with Nigeria and any other country for a win-win development
“Birland is open for collaboration and networking, especially in the area of construction”
Yusuf unveiled plans to start up an online University which will attract students from all over the world
The Ambassador disclosed that between April and May, investors will converge in Birland adding that lots of things are already in place to make Birland the Dubai in Africa.
Also reacting, the Director Birland Representative in Nigeria, Amb. Dr. Mrs. F.O Anusionwu stated that the State of Birland looks out for investors that will want to invest in every area of development, being a new State.
Queen Anusionwu disclosed that over 167 countries have endorsed the State of Birland and all these countries will contribute in one way or the other to make Birland the “Dubai of Africa” that we wish to achieve.
She further unveiled plans to visit investors in civil engineering that will help in developing the State of Birland
