Transportation Minister felicitates with Muslims on Eid El Kabir, urges them to promote peace

The Minister of Transportation, Senator Said Ahmed Alkali has congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid El Adha which took place on Sunday 16th June, 2024 across the globe.

According to Umar Alkali Jibril, Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, in a press release he signed on Monday disclosed that the Minister stressed the importance of emulating the values of sacrifice, obedience and generosity that are imbodied in the Eid El Kabir celebration as enshrined in the glorious Qur’an.

He however urged Muslim faithful to demonstrate these virtues in their daily lives with a view to promoting unity, peace and progress among Nigerians devoid of any sentiment.
Senator Said Alkali who felicitated with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the Emir of Gombe, Dr. Abubakar Shehu Abubakar 111 and the Ummah for witnessing yet another Eid El Kabir festival encouraged Nigerians to reflect on the essence of the occasion which bears strong meaning for prosperity of the country.
He emphasized the need for prayers among Nigerians for the unity, peace, progress and economic stability of the nation.
According to him, ” the message of Eid El Adha is to remind ourselves about the Commandment of Allah to show love to one another and uphold peaceful relationship, the essential purpose of the message was that we must put our trust in our Creator at all times” the Minister added.Umar Alkali Jibril, Special Assistant, Media and Publicity.
