Opinion: Comrade Aminu Aminu lauds NITDA Boss on leadership prowess

Comr. Aminu Aminu, National President, Youth And Civil Society Coalition For Development has spoken on leadership today Saturday 1 July, 2023 in a statement he signed.

Below is the full text:

Incompetency, corrupt tendencies, selfishness, betrayal, disrespect and lack of compassion have long been identified as inherent traits of bad leaders.

Bearers of these characteristics/traits have been responsible for the failure of the past governments be it at the state or federal level.

Though the present administration of Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu is proven to promote competency, capacity, skills and patriotism, I find it necessary to remind our beloved president that those that follow him and lobby for the ministerial appointment of them do not even deserve to be made ward councillors.

For those who have served their people in different capacities, efforts should be made by Tinubu’s government to find out how well they served and what value they have added to the living standard of their people.
If they are found worthy and have met the expectations of their respective constituencies then they can be considered for ministerial appointment but if they are found otherwise then they should be chased away from loitering in the Villa.

For the green-Hons/novices who are from all indications being motivated by selfishness and see the appointments they are looking for as a business venture where they will dive in and enrich themselves and their families to the detriment of the masses whose interest they are supposed to represent should not be allowed to even sniff the fragrance of Villa.

The Nigerian masses have faith in Tinubu’s administration and have trusted it so much that the president cannot afford to accommodate those who will use the masses as a ladder to climb up and then defecate directly on the masses instead of providing what will improve their living conditions.

In Jigawa State where I came from there are people who have performed beyond the call of duty using their offices to bring life-changing developments that will continue to add value to the lives of the Nigerian masses for a very long time to come. Such are the kind of people Nigerians want to see in this government.

An individual like Kashifu Inuwa from Jigawa State, the current Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has no equal in terms of service delivery. The impact of his service as DG of NITDA has been felt across the six geopolitical zones of this country.

This is the kind of person we Nigerians want to see in this government and not the kind of people that will be given appointments based on tribal, regional or religious sentiment and who cannot deliver instead they end up sabotaging the development efforts of the government.

As Nigerians await the ministerial appointment by the Tinubu administration we hope that this piece of write-up will serve as a guide to choosing the best ministers for the country and who will support the president to deliver on his campaign promises to the Nigerian populace.

Long live President Bola Tinubu
Long live the Nigerian masses
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Comrade Aminu Aminu,
National President,

Youth and Civil Society Coalition for Development (YCSCD).

Gospel: Knowing Money (2) By Dr. Paul Enenche

SERVICE OBJECTIVE(S):

  1. Understanding why we must know money => the power of money
  2. Understanding what our relationship with money should be => the place of money
  3. Understanding Kingdom keys to having money => the exploration of money
  4. Understanding what to do with money=> the possibilities of money
  5. Understanding money traps to avoid => the problems of money

KINGDOM KEYS TO MAKING MONEY – THE EXPLORATION OF MONEY:

  1. Be a diligent labourer (Prov. 14:23; Prov. 10:4; Gen, 31:40; Gen. 26:18-22; Prov. 11:16)
4a. God causes the labourer to see profit
4b. The Blessing of the Lord is permanently in search of the work of a man’s hands (Deut. 28:8)
4c. To be slack is to be in lack but to release diligence is to receive abundance (Prov. 10:4)
4d. Life is never easy for the lazy (Prov. 10:4; Gen, 31:40; Gen. 26:18-22; Prov. 11:16)
4e. It is strong, forceful and energetic people that receive and retain riches (Prov. 11:16)
  2. Maintain financial integrity (Job 1:1, 3; Gen. 39:5-6; Josh. 7:20-21, 24)
5a. Financial integrity is the way to financial authority (Job 1:1, 3)
You don’t have to be crooked to succeed (Gen. 39:5-6)
5b. Financial crookedness is the way to financial wretchedness (Josh. 7:20-21,24)
5c. Financial transgression can lead to life and destiny abortion (Josh. 7:24-26; 2 Kings 5:25; Matt. 27:3-7)
5d. What God has not given you does not add anything to you, rather it takes something from you (Gen. 3:1-21)
  3. Produce Excellence (Eccl. 9:10; Prov. 22:29; Gen. 41:39-44; 1 Chron. 29:1-5; Dan. 2:46-39)
6a. Quality attracts both quantity and prosperity (Prov. 22:29; Gen. 41:39-44; 1 Chron. 29:1-5; Dan. 2:46-39)
6b. To get the best out of life, you must give your very best to life. (Dan. 2:46-49; Matt. 5:14)
6c. Those who sow average reap obscurity, but those who sow excellence reap eminence.
If you sow mediocrity you reap obscurity but if you sow quality, you will reap dignity.
If they are looking for ten of the best in your field and your name does not come up then something is wrong!
Don’t let your excellence be only in your container (what you wear), let it also be in your content (what you carry)
  4. Possess good management (Gen. 2:5; Matt. 25:27-29)
7a. The Blessing of God is in search of good management
7b. Bad managers of money lose money to good managers of money (Matt. 25:27-29)
Money runs away from those who mismanage it in the direction of those who manage it properly
7c. Waste will always lead to want (Luke 15:13-14)
Money is always in haste where there is waste
“I refuse to be a mismanager of resources; Lord, give me the grace to do it well

WHAT DO WE DO WITH MONEY? – THE POSSIBILITIES OF MONEY:

  1. Honour God first by fulfilling your covenant obligations (Prov. 3:9-10; 11:24-25; Matt. 6:33; Gen. 14:18-20; Heb. 7:7-8)
  2. Maintain a reserve – don’t spend everything (Prov. 21:20; Deut. 28:8)
The Blessing of God is looking for your storehouse (Deut. 28:8)
THING TO NOTE ABOUT THE STOREHOUSE:
    i. It is a Faith principle
ii. It is obedience of Divine command
iii. It is a strategy against wastefulness
  3. Reinvest for returns (Matt. 25:27-29; Gen. 47:19-20, 23-25; 26:12-14)
3a. Expenditure is not the purpose of money, investment is the purpose of money; you invest
money then you expend from dividends/profit.
Don’t meet your need from your seed, meet your need from your returns.
Anybody putting your life under pressure to be spending raw money on them is not doing your life any good
3b. Investment is the security of the future (Gen. 26:12-14)
  4. Impact in your field or business endeavour must be placed above personal comfort (Prov. 24:27KJV, TLB, NIV)
4a. Investment is superior to enjoyment
What you eat, wear drive, and where you live are not as important as what you do
4b. Impact more than intake guarantees income
When you correct your mentality you can connect your prosperity
  5. Be charitable – remember the poor and the needy (Gen. 12:2-3; Prov. 19:17; Job 29:11-16; Ps. 72:11-14; Gen. 14:14)
5a. The major reason why God blesses people is to make them blessings to their generation
If you will not be a blessing don’t expect to be blessed
5b. To give to the poor is to lend to the Lord, and God cannot owe anybody; He pays with interest (Prov. 19:17; Job 29:11-16; Ps. 72:11-14; Gen. 14:14)

MONEY TRAPS TO AVOID – THE PROBLEMS OF MONEY:

  1. Be diligent but never be in a haste to be rich (Prov. 28:20)
    1a. Traps of deceptive investment
Any return on investment that appears too juicy to be true is likely not true
HASTE TO BE RICH CAN LEAD TO:
    1a. Traps of deceptive investment
1b. Stepping into fraud (knowingly or unknowingly)
  2. Don’t bite more than you can chew – don’t take up more money pursuits or responsibilities that are beyond both your management capacity and manpower capacity (Prov. 4:25-26)
Functioning with focus is the key to a financial future
“Pursue only that which you know you can pursue with focus and deliver with excellence” – Dr Paul Enenche
“To be drawn in too many directions is to be drawn into exhaustion, frustration and stagnation” – Dr Paul Enenche
“To pursue too many things all at once is to end with nothing at the end” – Dr Paul Enenche
  3. Don’t be in a hurry to show off (Prov. 24:27)
Don’t be in a hurry to unveil your true capacity; it is not wisdom
Let there be more to you per time than what people know
  4. Don’t lose your humility to prosperity (Prov. 18:23)
Don’t lose your humanness to money
  5. Don’t lose your spirituality to money (Matt. 6:24; 1 Tim. 6:10-11; Matt. 19:23-24; Job 1:1,3; Luke 16:22)
Any money that will make you reduce your spiritual fire let it go to hell!
  6. Don’t lose your name to money (Prov. 22:1; Eccl. 7:1a)
Your character is superior to your certificate; your character is superior to your connections
It doesn’t matter what you have, if your name is not good, your future can never be great
If your name is not good, your future can never be great no matter how talented or gifted you are.
  7. Avoid the trap of indebtedness, including the oppression of hired servants (Rom. 13:8; Prov. 22:7; Jam. 5:1-4)
Indebtedness is an attack on your financial future
Indebtedness is taking your welfare into your hands and out of the hands of God
The worst form of debt is the one owed hired servants, employees and labourers.
Have zero degree allowance for debt
Any service you cannot pay for do it yourself!
Within the first 7 days of this 7th month, what you have been pursuing since the beginning of the year shall enter into your hands!
Within the first 7 days of this 7th month, what the enemy has kept back from you by fraud or any means, is entering into your hands!

Sexual Allegations: Jack-Rich family reacts, says online reports sponsored, baseless

The Jack-Rich family has reacted to online publications accusing Mrs Elizabeth Jack-Rich of having sexual relationship with Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Tinubu.

In a letter to Nigerians, signed by High Chief I.J. Ibiwari on Saturday, the family said the reports were nothing but a fabricated sponsored piece by political scallywags, aimed at injuring the future of Mrs Jack-Rich and her innocent children.

”With honour, we appreciate your understanding, and for detesting the avalanche of the most injuriously
preposterous insult melted on the family by political scallywags.

”These bunch of drunks with no employable skills outside political office other than blackmail, have decided to form a coalition of political hostage taking at home and overseas, to pursue their 2027 interest.

”These miscreants’ only vision is to promote their likes, to stay in public office by any means, to continue
to feed fat from what we produce as their spend, yet they have no respect for producers and
employers of labour.

”Those who understand family as core, detest
these type of political charlatans with satanic lifestyle because they have no respect for society with
what they say,” the family said in the letter.

It said those behind these attacks are just envious of Mrs Jack-Rich’s giant strides as a young woman.

”This is the climax of political desperation by desperadoes who want to forcefully enter a
house they fought against.

”Their vice style is attack to enter. Now they want to come inside the house
by attacking those who are the builders of the house they once fought.

”Nigerians are watching with keenness what will become of this melancholy.
Dr. Elizabeth is a well-groomed Yoruba mother who understands matrimony.

”She is brave, intelligent,
beautiful, and an asset anyone cannot object to acquiring. A beautiful mother to many countless
families in her care.”

The family urged the President and Nigerians to watch out for this group of cruel and desperate monsters, who were desperate for power, and so were willing to unleash political mayhem on the ideals of APC.

”A party they once called names and found nothing good in it.

”The public should now be aware that because these interlopers and their cohorts are weaklings with
no value to deliver any public economic good; their only means to power is to launch blackmail on
critical intellectual assets, including the likes of Dr. Elizabeth.”

The family therefore, expressed its unflinching support for Mrs Jack-Rich in the face of any type of attack or provocation.

”Dear Dr. Elizabeth, your husband, and Nigerians stand with you. In the face of this
provocative, baseless, malicious, harmful, and most preposterous allegation with devilish imprint.

”You are an icon of societal
good. Your good works are unbeatable, not even those drunks can stand near your achievement even
with their loots,” the family concluded.

NiMet Clocks 20, bags overwhelming commendations

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, (NiMet) has started receiving commendations from stakeholders as it turned 20 years as an Agency on the 19th of June this year.

The commendations, which come from stakeholders and those who use the Agency’s services across various sectors of the economy acknowledged that the Agency has over the years improved in its service delivery and has not just made its mark in the nation but at the regional level as well.
One sector in which NiMet’s services have been visible is air transportation and airline operations where NiMet had been providing weather updates for air travelers and air operations.

According to Mr Oladayo Smith, an engineer that shuttles between Lagos and Abuja to supervise his projects
“I frequent Abuja on account of projects that I handle. I must say that my confidence in air travel in Nigeria has increased in recent years because of the safety level now. I also know that NiMet has done a lot to contribute to this”.
Also, it could be recalled that a British Airways pilot was quoted in a national daily as saying that they now rely on NiMet’s weather report for their flight operation in Nigeria because the reports have become accurate and reliable. This was recently confirmed by the Director General CEO Prof. Mansur Bako Matazu, who disclosed in an interview that NiMet has attained 95 per cent accuracy in weather prediction, which is above the 60 per cent threshold recommended by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).

Prof. Mansur attributed this to the continuous upgrade of equipment, training and retraining of staff and developing a culture of excellence in service delivery among others NiMet has not only carved a niche for itself in improved service delivery for the aviation sector but has also developed products and services that have helped the Federal Government achieve sustainable food security for the nation. One such is the Seasonal Climate Prediction (SCP) in which the Agency presents to the public the annual rainfall pattern this has helped farmers and stakeholders plan their cropping season.

According to Alhaji Abdullahi, a farmer from Jigawa state
“The Seasonal Climate Prediction from NiMet has been helpful to me and some farmers that agree to use it.  The 2021 forecast was perfect, particularly at the onset and the end of the season. Cases of the dry spell were reported in some areas like Gwiwa, Yank washi, Kiri Kasama and Guri etc.”.

Another farmer Rose Chioma from Imo state said “The Seasonal Climate Prediction has been very important to us. The one provided for us last year has helped us and increased our yield. I have been using the SCP for the past two years now and those years without applying the SCP will never be compared to the last two years I started using the product”, she enthused.
It could be recalled earlier this year in a press briefing, Professor Matazu disclosed that NiMet’s weather advisory saved the Central Bank of Nigeria N120 bn because they adhered to NiMet weather advisory.

As NiMet clocks 20, stakeholders believe that the Agency has done creditably well and that the Federal Government should encourage it to achieve more, especially with the issue of climate change taking over the global discussion.

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency came into existence by an Establishment ACT of parliament on the 16th of May, 2003 and got the presidential assent on the 19th of June 2003. In 2022, the NiMet establishment act 2003 was repealed and replaced by the NiMet establishment act 2022 and signed into law by President Mohammadu Buhari on the 31st of August 2022. The New establishment act grants the Agency the sole authority to grant approvals and licenses for the establishment of Meteorological stations and other related matters.
