THE STATE OF THE KINGDOM OF BIRLAND – First Humanitarian Country of the World

A new country is born with an eye on the future, The State of Birland.

This is the newest country in the making in the continent of Africa with a landmass of 2060 sq. km. located between Sudan and Egypt.

The land is known as Bir Tawil meaning “Long water well”. BirTawil has its own political border, and it is internationally known that no country has ever claimed this land; neither Sudan nor Egypt has authority over this land.

It is now internationally known as the State of Birland. It was dubbed as “No Man’s Land” or “The Land That No One Wants’ ‘ as per every YouTuber or blogger refers to Bir Tawil as such for many years. “But Not Anymore” for this land is now with Implied recognition and self-determination as the State of Birland and Kingdom of Birland. Some countries that we introduced Birlandto have accepted our letters and issued endorsement letters in favor of Birland and have recommended and endorsed Birland for exchange of Culture and Tourism like Shandong and Taian City in China and the Municipal Tourism board of Budhalnilkantha in Kathmandu, Nepal. We have official representatives and offices in Nepal, Jakarta, Malaysia, South Korea, Hyderabad; we have representatives in Iraq, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Croatia, Iran, Brazil, Ecuador, Russia, some states in USA, and other countries.

The inhabitants who are the aboriginals laid their hands over this land. We have documented this action of the native people in the land, and it is notable and can always be mentioned that they asked Birland to be with them. In a paper they wrote “Birland, don’t be without us”, and they raised the Birland flag.

The State of Birland is now in its ninth year of its Founding by HRM King Emir A. Haiyawi from Belgium. On May 15, 2015, King Emir, the ruler and king of Birland, decided to seriously make this land a real country—not just any country—but to make the first Humanitarian country in the world to give dignity to the stateless people and nomads and aboriginals who have been the inhabitants of this land from their ancestors for more than 100 years now. The brain of making this land a real country King Emir Haiyawi started to publicly announce his idea and dedicated his life to realizing this First Humanitarian country in the world and to giving dignity to the stateless people and some refugees in the region. This has been the force that keeps us continuing to remain faithful and steadfast in realizing this dream.

Some friends and family members started to believe in him and have supported him to realize this idea. Day and night he have researched and studied this land and the international law about making a new country. Some early birds supported this idea and joined him in his pursuit to seriously make this land the newest country in Africa and the world.

Using the availability of social media, he has created lots of social media accounts for Birland on Facebook, Twitter now X , Instagram, and LinkedIn.

This caught the attention of people from different countries, and the idea of creating a new country and a humanitarian country and giving dignity to stateless people became interesting to many.

He also visited a general assembly of the European Union in Brussels and made inquiries on how he could make a country to which they told him that he only neededto have a land, inhabitants, laws or a constitution, and structures.

Guided by wisdom and knowledge and seeing that there are nomads inside the land without any nationality, no birth certificate, and no education, his heart went out to them, and he was determined in making this a real country, so he started planning how to establish it.

After a few years the now Prime Minister of Birland, a Filipino and a humanitarian by heart, and I , Eden Soriano Trinidad from the Philippines, crossed paths. I had the Royal Title of the Princess of Royal KutaiMulawarman at that time. I am a published poet and an author and have a heart for the needy and helpless. As a School Director of an outreach school, I pioneered The Lucio Abrigo Memorial Learning Center, serving as pro bono for many years as Vice President of the Board of Directors and receiving a meager salary as its pioneer teacher for many years. I was the one relaying all the information about Birland to the Maharaja of KutaiMulawarman who was offered to be an International  Representative of the State of Birland by translating (using google translator) every information I received from the founder of Birland as the Maharaja only speaks Indonesian. He wanted to hear the opinion from me, his trusted KutaiMulawarman Princess Eden, and not just rely on what he heard. Then after a few months, the Maharaja entrusted Birland to me. He said, “Be with Birland and help them. I am with you.”

Knowing Birland by heart, I did not think twice of supporting the Founder who preferred to be called Governor of Birland at that time. Day and night I talked to him and asked him many things about Birland. I became so engrossed that I grasped his plans and objectives for this land. I believed in his plan to make this land a humanitarian country where Diplomacy is our means of introducing this country. King Emir told me “Diplomacy creates friendship” and “politics creates enemies”. I never doubted the sincerity of the founder; instead, I embraced every plan, every concept he imparted to me. We work together to achieve our vision for this country. We talk about everything and learn from each other on how to realize the making of this country. Days, months, and years have passed and  not even a single day do we get tired working for Birland. We persevere. It is not easy to build a fresh country from scratch. In 2021, we decided it was time to meet our small government. Our newly appointed Minister of Tourism Mingma Dorjee Sherpa from Nepal hosted the Birland 7th Founding Anniversary. It was magic. Meeting in person for the first time the founder of Birland and some of our appointed officials made us more determined to pursue our dream for this land.

In October 2022, the President and Founder of the United Global Kingdoms  HRM Bungane, III, the King of Embo kingdom in Africa, called a General Meeting of the UGK and proposed to the member kings, rulers, and heads of indigenous and traditional kingdoms that it was time to conduct the coronation to recognize and declare the ruler and the prime minister of Birland as the Monarchs of the Monarchy of Birland State as the system of the government of Birland is Constitutional Monarchy. On October 7, 2022, the Virtual Coronation and the declaration wereofficiated by HRM King Denis Okafor, the king of Ohanaeze in African Diaspora, and the Vice Chairperson of the United Global Kingdoms together with some kings and members of the United Global Kingdoms and officials of the State of Birland.

Then on May 15, 2023, the 8th Founding Anniversary was organized in Jakarta, Indonesia, by the Maharaja of KutaiMulawarman Kingdom. There were two Kings from South Africa, HRM King Joseph Mokgolobotho, the king of Mokgolobotho Kingdom and his queen consort, and King Ziyane Manana of Manana Kingdom, who attended and four of the ministers, who made it to the 8th Founding Anniversary to our delight and joy. We were physically crowned as King and Queen of the Birland Kingdom by the Maharaja of KutaiMulawarman Kingdom, MSPA lansyahRechzaFaclevieWamgsawarman, the Chairman of the World Monarch Council of the United Global Kingdoms.

Since I became firstly  the International General representative of the State of Birland  in 2020, almost 24 hours a day, I have connected and conducted virtual meetings with my friends, and I have made connections in different countries introducing Birland.

When I was given the position as the Prime Minister of the State of Birland and started creating a small government, we communicated with several governments and had several official representations and offices in some countries. Birland’s documents have also been accepted and authenticated by many countries around the world and stamped with the seals of foreign ministries.

It is notable that we, the rulers of the Kingdom of Birland, also envisionedBirland as the “Dubai of Africa” having the same atmosphere and weather, but Birland is bigger than Dubai and 27 countries of the world.

As the newly appointed Prime Minister and the Crowned Queen of Birland from the Philippines, I, HRM Queen Eden Soriano Trinidad, upon embracing the idea of making this land a humanitarian country said, “This is a Divine Project, for God has preserved this land all this time for us to turn this land into a unique country for humanity.”

I then started to introduce this Birland to many rulers, heads and kings of Indigenous, traditional and tribal kingdoms, and councils and communities in Africa, Southeast Asia, and South America. The back support of Birland are the kings under the United Global Kingdoms who believed in me as their Secretary General and the Ruler of Birland.

The Poets of Birland was conceptualized in the last quarter of 2020. Being a published poet myself I saw the importance of Poetry in promoting Peace through Birland. Poetry became the first culture of Birland.

There are around 70 official Poets of Birland who have showered Birland with their poems and songs and dedicated their poetry to Birland. The National Anthem of Birland is composed by Mr. Samuel C. Trinidad.

We, the King and Queen of Birland, are determined to make this country a very peaceful country, a very friendly country to all, where kindness is a way of life. English is the main language, and the second language will be Nubian, for this land is in the Nubian desert.

The Ruler and the Prime Minister of Birland has intention to make this country a unique country, where its future citizen willhave the right to education and to make the citizens a nation of thinkers, explorers, innovators, researchers, technocrats, and peace and humanitarian educators. Birland will not be a nation of workers. We want to create a unique teaching and learning environment not controlled by the old educational system.

We, the rulers of Birland, also plan to provide livelihood to the future citizens of Birland so they will not experience hunger and poverty.

Birland as described by its Plenipotentiary Minister Ambassador Celso Neves Dias is a country that is born with an eye on the future with objectives of transforming the desert into a green area for growing crops.

Nepal acogió el séptimo aniversario de la fundación de Birland. Fue magico. Nos reunimos en persona por primera vez, el fundador de Birland y algunos de nuestros funcionarios designados.

هي أصغر دولة في قارة أفريقيا حيث تبلغ مساحتها 2060 كيلومترا مربعا.  وتقع بين السودان ومصر.

وتعرف تلك الارض بأنه بئر طويل يسمى  “بئر الماء الطويل”.  حيث يحيط حدودها السياسية الخاصة، ومن المعروف دوليًا أنه لم تطئ أى دولة تلك الارض مسبقاً؛ فلا السودان ولا مصر لهما سلطة على هذه الأرض.

بدأ بعض الأصدقاء وأفراد العائلة يؤمنون به ودعموه لتحقيق هذه الفكرة.  لقد قام ليل نهار بالبحث والدراسة حول هذه الأرض والقانون الدولي حول إنشاء دولة جديدة.  أيد بعض الطيور الأوائل هذه الفكرة وانضموا إليه في سعيه الجاد لجعل هذه الأرض أحدث دولة في إفريقيا والعالم.

 

 باستخدام توفر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي، قام بإنشاء الكثير من حسابات وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لبيرلاند على فيسبوك، تويتر الآن X، إنستغرام، ولينكدإن.

 

 وقد لفت هذا انتباه الناس من مختلف البلدان، وأصبحت فكرة إنشاء دولة جديدة ودولة إنسانية ومنح الكرامة للأشخاص عديمي الجنسية مثيرة للاهتمام للكثيرين.

 

 كما زار الجمعية العامة للاتحاد الأوروبي في بروكسل واستفسر عن كيفية إنشاء دولة قالوا له إنه يحتاج فقط إلى أرض وسكان وقوانين أو دستور وهياكل.

 

 مسترشدًا بالحكمة والعلم ورؤية أن هناك بدوًا داخل الأرض بدون أي جنسية ولا شهادة ميلاد ولا تعليم، انفطر قلبه لهم، وعزم على جعل هذا بلدًا حقيقيًا، فبدأ بالتخطيط لكيفية  تأسيسها.

 بعد بضع سنوات، التقيت أنا وإيدن سوريانو ترينيداد من الفلبين، وهو الآن رئيس وزراء بيرلاند، وهو فلبيني ومدافع عن حقوق الإنسان.  حصلت على اللقب الملكي لأميرة كوتاي الملكية مولاوارمان في ذلك الوقت. 

أنا شاعر ناشر ومؤلف ولدي قلب للمحتاجين والضعفاء.  كمدير مدرسة  للتوعية، كنت رائدًا في مركز لوسيو أبريجو التعليمي التذكاري، وعملت مجانًا لسنوات عديدة كنائب لرئيس مجلس الإدارة وحصلت على راتب ضئيل كمدرس رائد لسنوات عديدة.  كنت أنا الشخص الذي ينقل جميع المعلومات حول بيرلاند إلى مهراجا كوتاي مولاوارمان الذي عُرض عليه أن يكون ممثلًا دوليًا لولاية بيرلاند من خلال ترجمة (باستخدام مترجم جوجل) كل المعلومات التي تلقيتها من مؤسس بيرلاند حيث أن المهراجا يتحدث فقط  الاندونيسية.  لقد أراد أن يسمع رأيي، أميرته إيدن Kutai Mulawarman الموثوقة، وليس الاعتماد فقط على ما سمعه.  ثم بعد بضعة أشهر، عهد إليّ المهراجا ببيرلاند.  قال: “كن مع بيرلاند وساعدهم.  انا معك.”

ولأنني أعرف بيرلاند عن ظهر قلب، لم أفكر مرتين في دعم المؤسس الذي فضل أن يُطلق عليه اسم حاكم بيرلاند في ذلك الوقت.  تحدثت معه ليلا ونهارا وسألته أشياء كثيرة عن بيرلاند.  لقد انشغلت كثيرًا لدرجة أنني فهمت خططه وأهدافه لهذه الأرض.  لقد آمنت بخطته لجعل هذه الأرض بلداً إنسانياً حيث تكون الدبلوماسية وسيلتنا للتعريف بهذا البلد.  قال لي الملك الأمير “الدبلوماسية تخلق الصداقة” و”السياسة تخلق الأعداء”.  لم أشك قط في صدق المؤسس؛  وبدلاً من ذلك، اعتنقت كل خطة، وكل مفهوم نقله إليّ.  نحن نعمل معًا لتحقيق رؤيتنا لهذا البلد.  نتحدث عن كل شيء ونتعلم من بعضنا البعض حول كيفية تحقيق بناء هذا البلد.  لقد مرت الأيام والشهور والسنوات ولم نتعب حتى من العمل في بيرلاند حتى يوم واحد.  نحن نثابر.  ليس من السهل بناء دولة جديدة من الصفر.  في عام 2021، قررنا أن الوقت قد حان للقاء حكومتنا الصغيرة.  استضاف وزير السياحة المعين حديثًا مينغما دورجي شيربا من نيبال الاحتفال بالذكرى السابعة لتأسيس بيرلاند.  لقد كان سحراً.  إن اللقاء شخصيًا لأول مرة مع مؤسس بيرلاند وبعض المسؤولين المعينين لدينا جعلنا أكثر تصميمًا على متابعة حلمنا بهذه الأرض.

في أكتوبر 2022، دعا رئيس ومؤسس المملكة المتحدة العالمية، إتش آر إم بونجان الثالث، ملك مملكة إمبو في أفريقيا، إلى اجتماع عام لـ UGK واقترح على الملوك الأعضاء والحكام ورؤساء الممالك الأصلية والتقليدية  لقد حان الوقت لإجراء التتويج للاعتراف وإعلان الحاكم ورئيس وزراء بيرلاند كملوك ملكية ولاية بيرلاند حيث أن نظام حكومة بيرلاند هو ملكية دستورية.  في 7 أكتوبر 2022، تم التتويج الافتراضي والإعلان من قبل صاحب السمو الملكي الملك دينيس أوكافور، ملك أوهانيز في الشتات الأفريقي، ونائب رئيس المملكة المتحدة العالمية مع بعض ملوك وأعضاء المملكة العالمية المتحدة والمسؤولين.  من ولاية بيرلاند.

ثم في 15 مايو 2023، تم تنظيم الذكرى الثامنة للتأسيس في جاكرتا، إندونيسيا، من قبل مهراجا مملكة كوتاي مولاوارمان.  كان هناك ملكان من جنوب أفريقيا، صاحب السمو الملكي الملك جوزيف موكغولوبوتو، ملك مملكة موكغولوبوتو وقرينته الملكة، والملك زياني مانانا من مملكة مانانا، الذين حضروا وأربعة من الوزراء، الذين وصلوا إلى الذكرى الثامنة لتأسيسها مما أسعدنا.  ومتعة.  لقد تم تتويجنا جسديًا كملك وملكة لمملكة بيرلاند من قبل مهراجا مملكة كوتاي مولاوارمان، مسابا إيانسيا ريشزا فاشليفي وانجساوارمان ، رئيس مجلس العاهل العالمي للمملكة المتحدة العالمية.

عندما حصلت على منصب رئيس وزراء ولاية بيرلاند وبدأت في إنشاء حكومة صغيرة، تواصلنا مع العديد من الحكومات وكان لدينا العديد من التمثيلات والمكاتب الرسمية في بعض البلدان.  كما تم قبول وثائق بيرلاند والتصديق عليها من قبل العديد من الدول حول العالم ومختومة بأختام وزارات الخارجية.

 

 ومن الجدير بالذكر أننا، حكام مملكة بيرلاند، تصورنا أيضًا أن بيرلاند هي “دبي أفريقيا” التي تتمتع بنفس الجو والطقس، لكن بيرلاند أكبر من دبي و27 دولة في العالم.

 

 بصفتي رئيس الوزراء المعين حديثًا وملكة بيرلاند من الفلبين، قلت أنا، الملكة إيدن سوريانو ترينيداد، بعد تبني فكرة جعل هذه الأرض دولة إنسانية: “هذا مشروع إلهي، لأن الله قد حفظ هذه الأرض”.  كل هذا الوقت من أجل تحويل هذه الأرض إلى بلد فريد للإنسانية”.

 

 بدأت بعد ذلك في تقديم بيرلاند هذه للعديد من حكام ورؤساء وملوك الممالك الأصلية والتقليدية والقبلية، والمجالس والمجتمعات في أفريقيا وجنوب شرق آسيا وأمريكا الجنوبية.  الدعم الخلفي لبيرلاند هم ملوك المملكة المتحدة العالمية الذين آمنوا بي كأمينهم العام وحاكم بيرلاند.

 

 تم تصور شعراء بيرلاند في الربع الأخير من عام 2020. كوني شاعرًا منشورًا، رأيت أهمية الشعر في تعزيز السلام من خلال بيرلاند.  أصبح الشعر الثقافة الأولى في بيرلاند.

 

 هناك حوالي 70 شاعرًا رسميًا في بيرلاند أمطروا بيرلاند بقصائدهم وأغانيهم وأهدوا شعرهم لبيرلاند.  النشيد الوطني لبيرلاند من تأليف السيد صامويل سي ترينيداد.

 

 نحن، ملك وملكة بيرلاند، مصممون على جعل هذا البلد بلدًا مسالمًا للغاية، وبلدًا ودودًا للغاية للجميع، حيث يكون اللطف أسلوب حياة.  اللغة الإنجليزية هي اللغة الرئيسية، واللغة الثانية ستكون النوبية، فهذه الأرض تقع في الصحراء النوبية.

 

 يعتزم حاكم ورئيس وزراء بيرلاند جعل هذا البلد دولة فريدة من نوعها، حيث سيكون لمواطنها المستقبلي الحق في التعليم وجعل المواطنين أمة من المفكرين والمستكشفين والمبتكرين والباحثين والتكنوقراط والسلام والإنسانية.  المتعلمين.  لن تكون بيرلاند أمة من العمال.  نريد إنشاء بيئة تعليمية وتعلمية فريدة لا يتحكم فيها النظام التعليمي القديم.

نحن، حكام بيرلاند، نخطط أيضًا لتوفير سبل العيش لمواطني بيرلاند المستقبليين حتى لا يعانون من الجوع والفقر.

 

  بيرلاند، كما وصفها الوزير المفوض السفير سيلسو نيفيس دياس، هي دولة ولدت وعينها على المستقبل بهدف تحويل الصحراء إلى منطقة خضراء لزراعة المحاصيل.

Family Announces Burial Arrangements of Ex-Reps Member, Cairo Ojougboh

The family of the former member of Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Dr. Cairo Ojougboh, has announced his burial arrangements.

The late Ojougboh, who died on February 7, 2024, aged 64, will be buried on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Ojougboh Family Compound in Agbor, Delta State.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to journalists by his family on March 28, 2024 in Abuja

According to the statement, the Internment will take place immediately after a Funeral Mass, scheduled to start by 10:00a.m. at the St. John The Baptist Catholic Church along Old Lagos/Asaba Road, Agbor in Delta State.

They noted that reception will take place the same day at the Open Ground, Opposite Central Hospital, Agbor.

“The late Ojougboh was an illustrious son of Delta State. He was a grassroot politician who has contributed immensely to the development of Delta State and the nation at large. He was a prominent, fearless and outspoken politician without prejudice to tribe or tongue.” They disclosed

CSOs crys out over Collapse of National Grid and Misappropriation of Public Funds in TCN

The National Civil Society Council of Nigeria (NCSCN), has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Minister of Power and other Relevant Authorities for immediate probing and suspension of TCN Boss Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz over corruption allegations and epileptic supply in the Country

In a Press briefing held in Abuja today 30th March, 2024 the Executive Director of NCSCN Comr. Blessing Akinlosotu while addressing the Press, described the TCN  boss’ actions as insensitive towards what Nigerians were facing in the Country’s Power Sector.

In the words of the ED
“The state of Electricity across the Country has become a matter of national emergency with repeated collapse of the National Grid and inability to even fully transmit and distribute the very minimal capacity being generated. Yet in the mist of these frustrating and devastating situations, we hear of a very unbelievable scandal against the Managing Director / CEO of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Engr. Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz.


Over 20 petitions have been brought before the Civil Society Council against the MD/CEO of TCN and a few other directed at the Leadership of the Distribution Companies (DISCOs). However, the most alarming is the recent reports across media outlets concerning bribery allegations against the Managing Director of TCN, Engr. Sule A. Abdulaziz, that he purchased an SUV Car to induce the Honourable Minister of Power to influence his retention.


The MD has reportedly bought a 2023 Lexus SUV LX 600 model procured at the cost of N298, 444,187.50k for the Minister of Power, Mr Adebayo Adelabu. Reliable Sources has it that the MD of TCN bought the vehicle from the internally generated revenue of the company to bribe the Minister to ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR does not remove him from office.


Available documents on the transaction show that the vehicle with Chassis No. JTJPBACX6P4026917 was procured from Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited through a contract agreement dated January 17, 2024, under the heading “Procurement Of Vehicles For Management Staff (Lot 1 & 2)”. A payment document with the heading “Payment Advice” shows that the money was paid to Kaura Motors Nigeria Limited account domicile with Fidelity Bank from TCN account through the Central Bank of Nigeria on February 20, 2024, at exactly 09:05 am and with Ref No: 997617729. The Batch Number is 15161, and the detailed description reads, “Payment for the supply and delivery of 1No Lexus LX 600 2023 Model for management staff lot 1 and 2.”
The most painful aspect of this ugly development to the Civil Society Community is that while the nation is languishing in darkness and epileptic power supply, about 226 containers of power equipment and transformers owned by the TCN are at the various ports in Nigeria.


Aside the corruption component in this offensive action, the gross insensitivity and irresponsibility therein is clearly showcased in the fact that this same MD of TCN has been unable to raise and pay up a paltry sum of One Billion Naira to take delivery of about 226 longstanding  containers of power equipment and transformers that are trapped in various ports as a result of inability of the MD/CEO of TCN to raise paltry sum of money required to clear and take final deliveries.


The Civil Society Council is in custody of a letter dated November 7, 2023 with reference TCN/MD/CEO/01/E,001/VOL 7/227/2023 signed by the MD/CEO of TCN himself to the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service appealing for Intervention to cancel the huge demurrage and duties that had accumulated up to about N5b (five billion naira), of which the Comptroller General graciously oblige, cutting down to only 20% about N1b (One Billion only) in order to help improve electricity supply in Nigeria, yet, despite the goodwill and kind gesture of the Comptroller General of Customs, the MD of TCN is still unable to pay and take deliveries till date. We can all imagine the positive impact of 226 container load of power equipment and transformers to the national grid and electricity supply across the country, instead the MD of TCN can raise over one quarter of the same amount to buy car for a Minister.


NCSCN considers this failure to clear and take delivery of the containers of power equipment, purchase of car for the Minister of Power, and other violation of Procurement Act, as the height of irresponsibility and insensitivity to the plight of the masses, that calls for stiff punitive measures against the MD/CEO of TCN.


It is in the light of the foregoing that the National Civil Society Council of Nigeria (NCSCN) strongly demands the immediate suspension of Engr. Sule A. Abdulaziz by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and investigation into these allegations by the EFCC, also that the Honourable Minister Power urgently addresses the Nigerian public on these very important matters.


The Council hereby issues a 7-day ultimatum starting from today of this Press Conference to relevant authorities [President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, Minister of Power, Inspector General of Police, and General Public] to take actions on the above demands, failure to which we shall be left with no other option than to mobilize a mass protests nationwide to drive home our demands. Nigerians can no longer tolerate the excesses of the MD of TCN, and we demand remedies now or never.

Easter Celebration: Nigerian Car Maker, Prince Mustapha Audu Felicitates with Christians, preaches renew hope, love for others

Troops denied oil theft estimated at 1.5 billion Naira in 2 weeks-DHQ

Edward Buba has disclosed that troops during the week under review neutralised 212 and arrested 252 persons stating further that Troops also arrested 29 perpetrators of oil theft and rescued 244 kidnapped hostages.
“In the SS, troops denied the oil theft of the estimated sum of One Billion Fifty Million Seven and Fifteen Thousand Two Hundred and Sixty Naira (N1,050,715,260.00) only.

“Furthermore, troops recovered 223 assorted weapons and 2,756 assorted ammunition. The breakdown as follows: 3 M56 rifles, 115 AK47 rifles, 3 PKT gun, 24 locally fabricated gun, 36 dane guns, 7 locally fabricated pistols, one fabricated revolver pistol, 3 locally made single barrel guns, 2 hand grenades and one locally made explosive.

“Others are: 1,716 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 494 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, 60 rounds of 7.62 x 25mm ammo, 290 rounds of 7.62 x 54mm ammo, 81 rounds of 9mm ammo, 2 live cartridges, 16 magazines, 3 M56 rifles magazines, one HH radio, 5 vehicles, 14 motorcycles, 15 mobile phones and the sum of N857,960.00 amongst other items.”

Major General Edward Buba made this known during a press conference on the ongoing military operations by the Armed Forces of Nigeria across the federation as at 28 March, 2024, held at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.

While speaking further, “Troops in the Niger Delta area discovered and destroyed 102 dugout pits, 41 boats, 36 storage tanks and 8 vehicles. Other items recovered incl 39 cooking ovens, 6 pumping machines and 61 illegal refining sites. Troops recovered 944,700 litres of stolen crude oil, 171,060 litres of illegally refined AGO and 1,500 litres of DPK.

“The foregoing indicates that troops are weathering the storm through offensive posture and improved understanding of modus operandi of the adversary. Accordingly, we are doing our best to rescue other hostages in terrorist captivity.

“Troops would also continue to elimination threats posed by these terrorist and their cohorts. However, citizens should remember that they are our first line of intelligence. Therefore, as citizens, we have a collective responsibility of doing right.

“The armed force is bent on sustaining the winning ways of our operational engagements as demonstrated with the recent rescue of 16 and 137 hostages in Sokoto and Kaduna States, respectively. The rescue of these hostages is indicative of a better understanding of the dynamics of what we are dealing with ,and to address the issue in a much safer manner.

“The rescue operations was based on collaboration between the military working with local authorities and government agencies across the country, in a coordinated approach. The success demonstrates the unwavering commitment of the armed forces to secure and protect the citizens against harm and acts of terror.

“The pressure of military operations created a significant level of distress both for the terrorist and the children. Given the situation, troops line of interest was the children. The level of distressed created by the children was sufficient enough for troops to exploit in their rescue. Additionally, cursory operations in the general areas by troops culminated in the neutralization of several terrorist leaders and commanders in OP HADARIN DAJI theatre of operation.

“On the flip side, we must never allow the incident that occurred in Delta State that led to the killing of 17 soldiers that were buried on 27 March 2024 to ever happen again. The armed forces is a force for stability that employs both kinetic and non knowledge netic measures to achieve the desired end state.

“Prior to the ugly incident, the military had constructed several civic projects in Delta State as a sign of good will. For instance, the construction of Multipurpose Hall and Borehole Projects in Patani LGA and Medical Outreach at Aladja Community in Udu LGA all in Delta State, among several others. Furthermore, deforestation leads to soil erosion, as the trees and their roots help to anchor the soil in place. Without tree cover, soil is more susceptible to erosion from wind and water, resulting in the loss of fertile soil and the degradation of land.

Deforestation also has social and economic impacts. Many indigenous communities and rural populations depend on forests for their livelihoods, including for food, shelter, and income from sustainable activities like logging or non-timber forest products. The destruction of forests can therefore lead to the displacement and impoverishment of these communities.
